Who we are – What we do
Kwik Fit is a state of the art training studio that practices high intensity resistive exercise. We provide dedicated one-on-one training using only those techniques and protocols that have been tested and proven through the scientific research as presented in Body by Science. The principal training protocol is built on the “Big 5” workout, combined with “Super-Slow” movement. This protocol is proven to provide results after only 15 minutes of resistive training every 7 days.
Your time and investment is valuable and we will never waste it with any form of exercise that is inefficient or ineffective.
High Intensity
To stimulate your body to make an adaptive change, your exercise intensity must cross a certain threshold before your body will respond. By training to muscular failure, we signal your body that more muscle and improved metabolism are needed.
To keep the muscle under continuous load, we utilize the training protocol “Super-Slow” movement. This involves lifting and lowering the weights over a 10 second time frame, which eliminates acceleration and momentum, effectively and efficiently fatiguing the muscle.
Brief Workouts
All of our workouts last between 12 and 15 minutes. Our goal is to utilize our efficient exercise program to produce a stimulus to your body, which will create an adaptation response. Anything beyond this amount of exercise only acts to consume precious recovery resources.
Infrequent Workouts
You only need to workout once a week with Kwik Fit as our workout uses a large amount of your body’s resources which triggers it to create an adaptive change.
Your body then spends the remaining 6 days replenishing recovery resources, rebuilding muscle, and making improvements to your metabolism.
Reintroducing the stimulus (a workout) to soon will interrupt these processes. During the first few weeks, many of our clients train twice a week, to establish the cycle of adaptive change. Within 2 to 3 weeks, most of our clients graduate to once-a-week training.
Precise Record-Keeping
Keeping precise records of your workout performance allows us to know if we are manipulating the variables of intensity, duration, and frequency appropriately. By doing this our clients can show progress on every exercise of every workout.
Safe
Our method is safe for people of all ages and fitness levels. All exercises are professionally instructed and monitored as we eliminate momentum and acceleration this has an extremely low impact on joints and tendons. As a result, the risk of injury is much lower than conventional exercise, especially for people over 30.
